To initiate the HERS “Culture of quality from pre-hire to retire” program, schedule an educational
seminar (available on campus or as a webinar). Follow up podcasts are also available for posting at your HR website.
Initial seminars (to introduce the HERS program) generally run about an hour. Refresher seminars (annual seminars
to keep your Hiring Officers abreast of industry changes and program benefits) generally run about 30 minutes.
All seminars should, ideally, be timed prior to your historical hiring season, to be the most beneficial.
Because many institutions are on the same hiring schedule, some dates get booked quickly. Please complete and submit
the request form below at least a month in advance, to insure convenient scheduling.
Attendance from the following institution representatives will prove the most beneficial and are to whom invitations
to the seminar should be extended. HERS will provide sample documents to implement this process.
From all Schools, Institutes and Departments:
- Human Resource Administrators
- Your Institutions Tax Specialist (usually in HR, Benefits or Payroll)
- Procurement Professional versed in your institutions state, federal and internal purchasing guidelines and/or who are involved in the hiring process
- Provost and or Dean of Faculty representatives
- Business Officers/Managers involved in the recruitment, relocation and retention process
- Current or typical Search Committee Members
